PAMOJA SNAPS!
In today’s world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. From ongoing global challenges to the constant stream of difficult headlines, the digital space can sometimes feel heavy. Pamoja Snaps was created as a gentle antidote, a space to highlight everyday moments of joy, creativity, and kindness. It’s our small way of celebrating the people and stories that make the world feel a little more hopeful.
Pamoja Snaps a way of celebrating our friends and collaborators and their friends and collaborators. A break to appreciate what brings us joy and happiness. A mechanism to share new ideas about how to maintain positivity and kindness. We’re using it to visualise this big, messy, interconnected community that provides us with support, stimulation and sustenance.
Pamoja Snaps is a nice name because Pamoja means togetherness and snaps (when you click your finger and thumb) are a way of showing appreciation. They are an alternative to clapping that is less distressing for people with sensory processing disorders. You can also snap to show appreciation and it doesn’t drown out the speaker. We want to give snaps to you all!
